Cookies and TapNet

TapNet uses cookies for technical reasons. The information stored in cookies do not contain personal data.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file that the website you are visiting asks to save on your computer. Cookies are used on most web sites to give visitors access to various functions. The information in the cookie can be used to monitor a user's web surfing.

There are two types of cookies. The first saves a file for a long time on your computer. It is used for functions that shows a user what is new since last visit on the web site.

The other type of cookies is called session cookies. While you are browsing a page, this cookie is stored temporarily in your computer's memory to, for example keep track of what language you have chosen. Session cookies are not stored for a long time on your computer, they disappear when you close your browser.

Cookies used in TapNet

TapNet uses two cookies:

  • ASP.NET_SessionId

This is a cookie that is used to store certain selections and settings that a user does on the website. This cookie disappears when you close your browser.

  • FormsAuth.AspxAuth

This is a cookie that is used when you have authorized yourself. If you choose to, TapNet will remember you as the cookie is stored for up to two months on your computer.
